Does the fact that the books are lopsided bother me? Do I not understand how front-facing cameras work? So many questions, so little time. And that time is better spent reading these three if you haven’t done so already! See any of your favorites?⁣

✶ CEMETERY BOYS — I read this book over a year ago and I still think about it constantly. ⁣
⁣
✶ A GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER — Perhaps the best thriller I’ve ever read in terms of all-around character, plot, plot twists, etc. It’s so much fun and the first part of one of my favorite series of all time.⁣
⁣
✶ ACE OF SPADES — I’ve already recommended this one this month and I’m doing it again because I can’t recommend this book enough. The less you know going in, the better. ⁣

#ThrillersKillersAndCreeps2021 ✨ HOUSE OF HOLLOW

#ThrillersKillersAndCreeps2021 ✨ HOUSE OF HOLLOW is slow to start but near impossible to put down once you’re wrapped up in the story. It was beautiful, haunting, and surreal, not gory per se, but still gruesome with how vivid the imagery was—it reminded me of MEXICAN GOTHIC. It also reminded me a little of LOST IN THE NEVER WOODS, or at least what I had hoped NEVER WOODS would be. ⁣

I was left with several questions at the end and didn’t feel like there was enough resolution or explanation at the end, but this was such an original story that despite these gaps, I still really enjoyed it once the momentum picked up. I also think that if you’re someone who doesn’t mind reading a more open-ended story, you’d really enjoy this. This story will leave you with a deep sense of unease, it will, at times, make your skin crawl, and for those reasons, it’s a great October read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⁣

#ThrillersKillersAndCreeps2021 ✨ Two of my favorite thrillers in recent years. If you’re a fan of either ACE OF SPADES or WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING and haven’t read the other, do so ASAP! They’re both bone-chilling, filled with insidious characters with fake, knowing smiles, with exhilarating climaxes that will leave you unable to stop reading. ⁣
