Here’s a fall stack that I’ve already posted because work has been kicking my butt lately and I haven’t had much time or inspiration when it comes to taking photos. I’ve also been having a hard time getting excited about much and feeling passion for my hobbies.⁣
⁣
I know that a lot of folks have been feeling similarly. Things have been tough; this year’s felt like a million years already and it’s been hard for everyone. But I see you. Your feelings are valid. You’re not alone.

Today I’m sharing a book rec for #thrillerskillersandcreeps2020! I really should’ve done this ages ago, but better late than never, right? ⁣
⁣
If you have not already done so, you NEED to read this series. TRULY DEVIOUS is compelling right from the start; it’s truly un-put-downable and one of my favorite mystery series/series in general. ⁣
⁣
This series has:⁣
- an intrepid, complex, and brilliant young detective⁣
- a very flawed and love-to-hate-him (but still great) love interest named David who @commasandcarbs is in love with⁣
- 🔪MURDER(S)🔪⁣
- a plot that is intricate and twisty but not overly so⁣
- a gorgeous old prep school for genius kids ⁣
- a quirky (but not obnoxiously quirky) and eclectic cast of characters ⁣
- humor and heart and everything that makes a story so dear⁣

If you don’t believe me, just ask @commasandcarbs and @haleyberrys_books and @tinybookbug and so many others and they will tell you: YOU GOTTA READ THIS SERIES.

It’s Tuesday and you know what that means—it’s #PubDay! Except only two are actually coming out today. One of them came out last week but I didn’t have the chance to take a new photo so HERE WE ARE 🙃⁣

I had the privilege of attending a panel that @chasinggarza was featured on a few years back and it was, unsurprisingly, phenomenal. Garza is one of the most influential and effective organizers and strategists; a true force to be reckoned with. I cannot wait to dive into her new book, THE PURPOSE OF POWER. ⁣

Film was my second major in undergrad and although I went into law, film continues to hold a special place in my heart. So let me tell you, I just about screamed from glee when I saw that @thelindywest was coming out with a guide to modern cinema, SHIT, ACTUALLY. ⁣
⁣
And okay, A PRINCESS FOR CHRISTMAS actually released last week but I accidentally took this photo with all three in it and I didn’t have time to reshoot this and I really didn’t want to waste a perfectly fine photo so let’s just pretend I’m not the woooorst. It came out last week so it’s available now and I am so excited for A PRINCESS FOR CHRISTMAS and y’all should be too because it has royalty and Christmas, need I say more?⁣

I’m kicking off #thrillerskillersandcreeps2020 with one of my most anticipated fall books: WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING. ⁣

I’m a big fan of @alyssacolelit from her Reluctant Royals series so I’m extremely excited to read her foray into the thriller genre. I’ve also heard consistently great things about this book, so there’s that too. ⁣
