I haven’t actually gotten around to posting my wrap-ups for May and June but that’s mainly because I was in a pretty big reading slump for a couple of months. I barely read anything in both May and June (only 7 books total in 2 months). Thankfully, I was able to snap out of it in July and I ended up reading 21 books! And I found so many new favorites!

Jessica Goodman’s debut, They Wish They Were Us, is definitely one of the most interesting young adult thrillers I’ve read and tackles privilege and entitlement in a way I haven’t yet seen done before.

As such, it holds a special place in my heart (don’t ask me why, but I just get sentimental about certain things), and the Brown sisters hold a special place in my heart. Take a Hint, Dani Brown has only cemented my love of Hibbert’s characters and this special series.
